A day for Endangered Species in India

            An initiative of WWF (World Wildlife Fund) along with BITM (Birla Industrial Technology Museum) celebrated World’s Endangered Species Day and World Biodiversity Day that was on 18th and 22nd may respectively at BITM Kolkata.
            More than 5 colleges participated in making this event a success and a competition was held between colleges and intra groups. Colleges like Lady Brabourne College, Asutosh College, Scottish Chruch College, Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College and many other colleges were part of it. The competition was between 27 groups out of which the 1st and 2nd position was held by Lady Brabourne College and the 3rd position was by Rammohan College.

             To make this initiative worth IFS Mr. Agni Mitra was the chief guest of the event. Director of BITM and other eminent personalities were also a part of this initiative.

              We all live in our own luxurious houses and have all the amenities possible. Hence, it is our responsibility to give a comfort place to these endangered animals so that there will be a balanced ecosystem around us.
