Fear is a negative state of emotions that is caused the presence, or a mere anticipation of a stimulus which may have the potential to cause harm. This anticipation is good enough to create a kind of dislike or phobia towards the stimulus. This stimulus can be a rattle snake, a mouse, a knife around your throat, roads, accidents, vehicle’s screeching sound.. anything…

There are several unpleasant feelings of fear that we encounter in our day-to-day lives. Fear of insects, snakes, heights, fear of ghosts… which are pretty common. There are other fear which aren’t so common and doesn’t really mention much about them – like, the fear of sleep, fear of silence, fear of love and also fear of crossing road.

But it may happen so that as an individual we experience these unpleasant feelings or phobias ourselves… and there may not be just one… but 3 or 4 of them. Director Mahua Chakroborty lets the audience perceive these phobias through “Aamar Bhoy”. But she is able to successfully affirm that the only way our mind – the all-time protagonist – is able to overcome it is by facing them all by itself.
