ICC U19 World Cup: India beat Pakistan by 203 runs & qualify for historic 6th Final



India smashed off Pakistan with massive 203 runs victory in the second semi-final of the 2018 ICC U19 cricket world cup. Shubman Gill set the temperament with an unbeaten 102 runs which helped India to make a good score through which they chased Pakistan and smashed into the field easily after opting the bat. But not only Gill Bengali boy Ishan Porel give them a big jolt with his bowling performance(4/17) through which India can easily dismantle Pakistan. They were bundled out for 69 which is their lowest total score in ICC U19 World cup history.
Pakistan had a few moments for a fight with India in their first innings. Especially with Muhammad Musa(4/67) and Arsad Iqbal (3/51) gave a big trouble for middle order Indian batters. But Gill’s century - he posted his 6th 50 plus total in U19 ODI.
The Pakistan batsmen needed something special to win that match. But appeared daunted by the task that awaited them. Eventually, India sealed a date with Australia in the final on Saturday.
After the toss, India opted to bat and giving a chunk of fans at Hagley oval an early look of this great rivalry. Prithwi Shaw facing Shaheen Afridi with his typical superior technique. Barely giving the bowler a sniff, and Manjot Kalra gave him a great support also. He was dropped by Zaid Alam off Shaheen on 24 and on 29 off Hassan Khan. He scored 59 in 47 balls but unfortunately, Prithwi was run out just to attempt a quick single. Three overs later Manjot dismissal by Musa and India to 94/2
Gill came in and kept the responsibility to scored high runs with perfect co-partner. And after scoring the runs in scoreboard they were easily played their own game. Basically, after Rahul Dravid taking the charge of junior team they are always give their best in the field and made India proud with their performances.
